the conflict of dialogue
the language
that renders
as surreal

as an
plays out

"they can't kill me",
so take the chance,
let's do this scene,
then where it ends up....
"don't look at me" kind of thing--
when it comes to "who did this",
well, the author did.
but who and where is the author
and "could he be in front of you or me"?

the seeds of conflict
the viewers
and dress the scene
for entertainment
in a way
that you can look
at it like: "good!-
someone's done all this
crazy stuff for me today"

variations are infinite
but there are
no messages
how to look away

holding yourself
at a distance
and knowing
that this is a stage
that has been forever
and the only change is
the electronics have gotten better

technology allows
us to externalize
our inner selves,
it offers us an ability
to break free.

when watching t.v.
we're engaging with a screen
of powerful imagery

and, in practice,
you can take
mental activity
and apply it to your own movement
using memory as a machine
-it gives us a kind of...

a rebirth
to accept
our mythology

if we can identify
with the people wrapped
up in this virtuality
we can see
that it is
our own nature
that is expanding
to see it all as "we"

and then, as practice, right?
move your arms in full circles
in your own space,
(with no screen)
but mentally imagine
a mental space alongside reality

you see
if we understand the nature
of t.v.
it can free us from some of our suffering
and open up our experience
-our constitution, essentially

to use the medium of our bodies
to channel such energy.

our physical bodies
as being
the differential of
what makes me me
a "variation on a theme"
and you have a different
relationship to
that variation
than he.

Letting your Joy take You for a Ride

December 19th, 2014

We so often get caught up in making things happen.

If we’re not feeling joy or haven’t felt it in a while, sometimes we think, we would feel joy if… we were on vacation. Or, the person you wanted in your life was with you, or you had lots of money in the bank to get whatever you wanted.

But what about finding Joy without doing anything, getting anything or going anywhere at all? What about tapping into the emotion of joy and letting each one of your cells experience the limitlessness of Joy.

Joy is within and around us all the time. It pervades the fact that we are able to experience anything at all.

Well-being and happiness is the natural state of the human body. When you relax, all the workings inside the human body machine are set to flow towards joy.*
It’s programmed that way. We don’t have to make it happen. We just need to practice allowing it to happen.

So, what about following the cell’s lead?

Each cell in your body has an inherent, biologically pertinent belief in the development and fulfillment of life. It’s programmed to develop and mature in co-resonance with its environment.

“Each cell believes in a better tomorrow. [Each cell] contains within itself a belief and an understanding that it has a future, a fulfilling one, even though death may be tomorrow.” -Seth as vocalized through Jane Roberts.

If you want to go for a joy ride in your car, you don’t jump in where the engine is because you think the engine might need your help. The engine will do it’s work. You sit inside the vehicle and choose which way looks interesting.

There’s a lot less that you need to do than you think!
The complex part has already been configured and runs on its own— just to marvel at that, is the Joy.

*If you enjoy the neurophysiology behind how this is true, one book I would recommend is Tom Kenyon’s “Brain States”.

The Fundamental Importance of You

December 19th, 2014

Quote from Seth, vocalized through Jane Roberts:

"It is not just that each person has his or her Source in a "magical" dimension, from which his or her overall life emerges, but that the private source itself is a part of the very energy that upholds the entire planet and its inhabitants, and the overall construct that you understand as the Universe."
-taken from Jane Robert's book: "The Magical Approach: Seth Speaks about the Art of Creative Living"

Jane Roberts was an established poet living in Elmira, NY. At one point in her life she found herself going into trance states where the energy personality of Seth would speak through her, communicating ideas that were beyond her own ability.
She would hold gatherings in her living room where those that became interested and fascinated in the her channeling would come to listen and ask questions.

Here is a recording of such session:

The practice of channeling has been going on since the very beginning of human existence.
Jane is considered to be one of the first of what is considered to be modern-day channeling.
The first book of Seth material came out in 1972.

Here is a poem by Jane Roberts, 1979:

"Magic Show"

What magicians we all are,
turning darkness into light,
transforming invisible atoms
into the dazzling theater
of the world,
pulling objects,
(people as well
as rabbits)
out of secret
microscopic closets,
turning winter into summer,
making a palmful of moments
disappear through time's trap door,

We learned the methods
so long ago
that they're unconscious,
and we've hypnotized ourselves
into believing
that we're the audience,
so I wonder where we served
our apprenticeship,
Under what master magicians did we learn
to form reality
so smoothly that we forgot to tell ourselves
the secret?
